    Resetting 300tdi Inj Pump

Does anyone know how to "reset" a 300tdi Inj pump back to standard? I.e. main feed screw, diaphragm spring adjustment etc? I have a pump with unknown history and I would like to get it to a known starting point.

    Cheers,
    Tom.

bolt it up, set the plunger height, adjust it from there...

there is no "standard" position settings just a rough ball park to make sure the pieces are all in place and the pumps then get "set" on a pump tuning device that measures the ouputs at various settings.

once its bolted up and the engine is running on it you can adjust it back to about stock by the seat of your pants.

IF you're lucky on the eccentric cam there will be a set of wear marks from the contact with the pin. that will give you the approximate position of the cam and a rough idea of how much you need to lift or lower the start position screw and the pressure spring seat.

    good luck.
