ABS or no ABS

No not even the last models,mine was an SE but no abs.

Our 300tdi 94 ES had it

Just to confuse the issue my Australian disco 1 1998, does not have abs or an airbag, I don't think they were ever standard on the base models in Oz.

ABS & SRS were standard spec but could be deleted by special order. Some Govt departments did this.

Well that's something I've learned today, I've had 4 300tdi discos, ranging from 1994 to 1998 and never had abs or airbags on any of them, it's good to know how they came to be, thanks

NSWFB comes to mind as being one of the main departments who deleted them.
How many of yours were white?

Two of the four, including the one I have now, now you come to mention it, both the white ones are auto as well, the coloured ones were both manual.
