According to RAVE electrical library it should be a white + grey wire.
The connector is shown to be down in the fuse box access area, lower steering column.
hi all... ive got a '95 disco v8 in which the motor failed so i replaced with a ls2 6ltr holden donk.
its been 4 years now since i started and i like to think almost to the point where i can turn the key for the first time. i love the original look so when it comes to gauges id like to keep it stock. hence my question is.... please which wire behind the instrument cluster is the signal wire for the tachometer so i can get it working again?

I think the Disco 1 used the same system as the Range Rovers which is alternator driven, not from the coil. The wire to the tacho would connect to the W terminal on the alternator - If your alternator doesn't have one, they can be added pretty easily - I've done a couple now. Biggest thing to check before doing this is that the pulley ratio on the new alternator would need to be the same as the factory unit for it to be accurate.
