    Something went clunk

Hi everyone I am new to this forum . I went bush on the weekend and became stuck on a log . I gave the old girl a bit of right foot to get over it and heard a clunk sound . I now have no drive or reverse, even in park the gearbox seems to be in neutral. Both prop shafts are spinning when put into drive , or reverse. Slight clicking sound from rear differential.
Externally I cant see any thing that is Brocken.
Any suggestions would be great as now she is stuck out in the bush . 1994 discovery v8 auto .

Sounds like you broke your diff? Have you tried driving with the center diff lock engaged?

If both propeller shafts are turning but no wheels are turning, you must have broken either a differential or drive axle at both ends of the car. Pull out your rear axles to see if either is broken.

Only takes one broken axle to render it inoperable, if you lock the center diff does the car move ?
