Dry joints on the PCB is the usual issue, fixed mine then they stopped working about 2 years later.
Sold it so no more problems.
My rear windows work fine from the centre console but cant be opened or closed from the actual door switches.
Should I go straight to the ECU or look inside the doors for obvious problems?
Have had a look in the DS door and all seems fine.
thanks

Could also be a dud connection at the isolation switch too.

Sorry if it sounds ridiculous, or obvious, but the central switch on the window switch panel beside driver, turns the rear door window switches on or off.My rear windows work fine from the centre console but cant be opened or closed from the actual door switches.
Have you checked this switch.
Yeah, small square one.
Locks out the rear window switches, but allows the centre console switches to still operate.
2 possibilities!
Someone may have inadvertently pressed it and now rear switches don't work
OR
IIRC, it's earth based, and simply cuts the earth to the rear switches. if the switch has dudded itself, or an earth connection along it's path has come loose, it's like having that switch set to off so rear door switches don't work too.

If you pull the switch, going off RAVE, the switch is a simple switch that bridges two earths.
Grey and Green wires goes to the rear door switches, and there should be a black wire on the disable switch that goes to earth too.
Disabled is when the earth is not connected.
If you bridge the Grey/Green wire to the black wire the rear door switches should be re-enabled again.
If not, could be a wire/splice/join damaged elsewhere.

Carefully pull the switch apart. Inside will be a piece of metal with points on it, clean it and form the piece of metal so as to make better contact. Should be fine , I did it on a D3 switch.
Just old style mechanical points.
