    oil pressure valve

Anyone know the trick in removing the oil pressure relief valve from timing cover? circlip out, and can feel it moving against the spring by using probe in tunnel with pump gears out.
Rebuilding new motor, 3.9 V8. would really like to check for possible scoring etc.
Soaked in oil overnight. It refuses to budge.
could possibly hammer it out from inside the tunnel but don't want to damage it.
    ideas welcome.
    Ron.

Well, it came out. Used long allen key and applied pressure inside tunnel.
Bang, I guess I should have covered with cloth, or held my hand over it. The cap and valve shot to the back of garage, disappearing amongst shelves of parts, tools and junk.
somehow the spring bounced back and landed next to me.
Not even going to try and look for them. New one on Monday.
Oh, it was fine inside, no scoring.
    The fun continues.

edit: found the end cap, but not the valve part. getting new one anyway.
The 'O' ring on cap was in several pieces and just crumbled to dust when removing, most definitely a source of one of many oil leaks.
