Some time ago I was given a Manual 300tdi Disco by a member of this forum (Shining). It had a cooked head. So I pulled it out, cut the ridge out of the bore (~400k), honed it and put new rings bearings, seals, bearing and head etc. I as preparing to put it back in when the front pulley came loose on my daily driver (335k and not using any oil or water). So the reconditioned motor went into that temporarily. The motor out of my daily driver now has new crank, pulley, pistons, rings, oil pump, bearings, water pump etc. Spent the last couple of days pulling out the "spare" motor to put the original motor back in. All the work under the car (except putting the front exhaust pipe back on) has been done, Injection pump all on. Just need to put radiator in, injector pipes and manifold on and it should live again! I am going to have a break before I put the other motor in the other Disco, but it goes well. Has about 15K since being rebuilt and I have quality hybrid turbo to go on it. It will also have gas injection. I am looking forward to having a break though.
