As far I know Australia didn’t come with gearbox oil coolers. TD5 had a pipe which was as much use as a chocolate fire guard). Others on here may have more correct info on that regard.
I bought and have fitted the AshCroft R380 oil cooler. Had it fitted over a year ago now. Seems to have worked fine. I have had no issues with it. But I had to locate the cooler below the A/C condenser on mine so had to cut away the bottom of the front grill surround as I wanted it in the direct air flow.(pic attached). If you don’t have A/C it should go in front of the radiator between the cross supports. Where ever you put it you will need to fabricate a mount for it. have touched it after use and the cooler was warm to the touch but not hot or cold, so it was doing something.
