Have you, at any stage, mixed inhibitors?
My old radiator was in pretty rough shape, and it just wasn’t flowing well anymore. So, I decided to get a new one, and I picked up a cheap Chinese radiator. After putting it in (over a year ago), everything seemed fine—the water temperature was good and stayed under 98. But then, I went for a drive on a super hot day (45 degrees) up the Adelaide Hills. And during that drive, the water temperature kept going over 100. I didn’t want to push it past 102, so I had to stop a lot to let it cool down. Once I got home, I noticed the water level was low and that the radiator was wet on one side. So, I took everything apart and found tonsil stones in the radiator!
So, my question is, if the radiator is full of this stuff, does it mean the entire cooling system is full? And is it even worth trying to clean all the cooling loop?
