dont fret with me, ive got a lot of respect for a person that speaks he's / her mind, and im allways up for a good debate o many things, i get rather bored with the dul sematics of some people that dont have the kahonas to say what they think yhea
its a pleasure talking to people that have an opinion and dont just follow the flock
cheeers
Thanks mate, I was sure I wasnt 'P'ing off everyone, probably just the normal couple of people who seem to have an issue with everything I do.
As far as the legal question goes, it was just a passing comment and wasnt meant to take over the thread and as said before, who really cares if they dont book you.
I keep mine as Road worthy as I can as It makes my insurance cheaper and I have the ability and the time space and money to do so but thats just me.
Even in saying that, I would love to have some of Matts play things and I dont think I would be bothering with RWC or insurance if I did as they are there for fun and thats about it.
mate its all good i appriciate the convo, i to know what its like to p#$% everyone off, ive done it plenty of times as u prob know.
but i saying that im not being a smartjewilikers, i dont follow the flock and to some that isnt the way to be !!if u know what i mean
and to eas ur mind if i was to be told to get anything off my truck cause it wasnt legal i reall would be a whimp and just do it :D:D:D
so anyway what do you think
"light force" or "preditors" :lol2::lol2::Rolling::Rolling::woot:

just because you can get away with out a traffic/machinery violation means diddley squat in a worst case senario....
the main problem arises when insurance companies or heaven forbid, coroners get involved after an incident.
how they behave has absolutely nothing to do with how law enforcement agencies behave.
if someone goes over your bar and you have welded or addon light mounts and fitted lights then YOU are outside the manufacturers compliances and YOU become liable to a very much greater degree. coroners are increasingly bringing down judgements based solely on manufacturers recommended specs and implied uses.. the more blame apportioned to you , the more it hurts, obviously.
insurance companies are increasingly justifying non payment on claims using the same principles..
some very interesting decisions being handed down of late and there will be some biggies in the near future that may well have some pretty big impacts on 4wds in general i am led to believe....
the cowboys arent going to like a lot of them...
something to add to the equation....
right back at you ......:spudnikconfounded:
this is not a dig yhea!!
But what in your opinion makes a cowboy???, do u mean the rest of europe and he americas, where the practice of having the light's on the roof is such a common and more than excepted practice that their is a blackout designed to combat the glare??
or most of the country folk that live all over the country that have a bull light attached on top of the bull bar???
im just interested ?? ;):huh::huh:
cheers
oh and buy the way
"love ur work ":D
i take it to be a general term to cover those that dont give a toss what the rules are and or dont expend any energy thinking how their actions may affect others others.
As long as we all agree to dissagree
Mcrover, Rally cars have the same laws as Road cars.
I was just pointing out that the law has been for some time what i stated.
most bull bars are well below the lowest point of the screen, so you can get lights on top. But i guess its the police that are the ones at the end of the day that will sook, you know about that dont you.
No Steve I dont know what it's like for the police to have a sook about what I do with my vehical.:mad:
My cars Road worthy as I stated earlier as well as I havnt been pulled up for anything more than a RBT in the last 6 years so I dont see where you would get that idea.
I have only ever got 3 dermerit points my entire driving life and I have mainly had jobs where I was driving (Courier, Pizza Delivery, Towing Vans, Truck driving, On site mechanic) as well as the traveling I have done I consider that I must more often than not obey the laws and not stand out as a person of interest.
Again Clarkie your in dream land.
