Good effort Ron
Im in the process of modding my air system to accomodate a snorkel of my own design and by the looks of the airbox in a D1 its the answer Im looking for
Thanks for posting and the pics that go with it and to the knockers of your job get back in ya box
To many people can do better after someone else has already done so
And I say kudos for having a go and getting it done
Just another question what did you do with drain holes at the bottom of the filter box as mine do not have valves? Have i lost mine or is it normal for the square filter box to be like that? Just if they are still open water can still get in so snorkel would not be really useful for wading. Most of the cylinder style air canisters have a valve on them to let water out but not in. Do people just silicone up the holes or are there proper valves that are meant to be in there?
Filled the Disco with fuel today, 20l per 100km, around town.
Even though that sounds terrible, it is doing slightly better than before, in our hilly Brisbane :)
mate good job well done! was cutting the holes very hairy? l have thing about drilling holes , its almost a phobia!!
