lads, u have lost me here, apart from the internal bickering...and the discussion on the pros and cons, in my opening thread i asked if anyone knew of a firm in perth who would take on the work.:)
can anyone point me in the direction of perhaps modding my v8i 3.5 as i cant seem to find a company in perth with the will, perhaps i am looking in the wrong place ie. landrover workshops.

Weight is an important factor to the handling of any vehicle, so don't listen to any idiot that says a heavy chev V8 is the way to go.

Suggest you start a new thread asking for advice on hotting up a Rover V8. The "Bowler Wildcat" is a rover V8 block, drilled and stroked to 5 litres with TVR (I think) heads. It is one very powerful machine :D

Mate there is no "internal bickering" as you say.

It is a simply mathematics and common sense.
Lumping a Land Rover with a GM motor is far more expensive than modding the original.!!

Try:

BEECHBORO 4X4

or Land Rover Owners Club of Western Australia (Inc)

for advice.

hmm, beechboro 4by4 arnt answering emails, might just swing past them.
also, i think you are mistaken about a chevy being more expensive than a land rover upgrade, quite the opposite, the chevy motors are cheap as chips now.
