Windscreen replacement - Who to go to in Brisbane

I need to get my windscreen replaced ( insurance job), and was wondering who are the guys in Brisbane who know what they are doing and will get it right the first time?

Good question, I'll be watching with interest. These things leak like a bastard.

Do you have a snorkel ? I heard that some places won't do it until you remove the snorkel yourself.

Really anyone can do it. An RRC and Disco 1 have the same screen, which is now screen ( ha ha) printed around the edge.
There is no mystery to it. anyone who causes a leak is incompetent.
Only thing to watch is that the rubber is in good condition and not sun affected.
O'brien are OK or maybe a local. I get Gosford windsceens to do mine.
They all use the same screen which I think is made by Schott Glass in Dalian, China.
Leaks may not be around the scree but in the plenum ( of a RRC)
And yes the fitters usually appreciate you removing the snorkel.

Didn't go through insurance as the quote was $230 for the fender & my insurance said at that price just get it done. Ho har drove the Disco home in the pouring on Monday night and it is the first time in 4 years the dash did not get wet. I got quoted 240 by protector glass, lawnton and they knew the disco D2 well and said that they rather purchase the genuine seal at 80 odd dollars as their aftermarket brand looks a tad misfit or ugly. Hope this helps. Watching this thread as well for SEQ given I had a stone chip but found out it was already repaired from the guys. Must have been a big hit for the left over vision prob.

I get one free windscreen per year with Shannon's so it won't cost me anything.

I'll ring around the workshops and ask who they use.
