    Ignition Problem

Hope some of you may give me some ideas about my intermittent ignition problem V8 D1 ?

Everthing running fine and then no ignition (no spark at dizzy) poke and prod at ignition bits and pieces then hey presto it fires up runs great for a few days and then ignition quits out again ???

Whats usually the go with V8 D1 ignition systems?

I'm still on a LR learning curve, I am thinking crank sensor ? ignition modual ?

    Any ideas welcome thanks

It won't be a crank sensor because there isn't one.

The ignition module has been known to be problematic though, often failing when hot then coming back to life when cool.
Early cars had the module on the side of the distributor, later cars had them mounted in a cooler spot near the power steering fluid reservoir.

Check the obvious first though like bad connections. Manually trigger the coil while the non-start problem is present to eliminate that too.
