    Heavy duty wheel spanner

    Hi all

Recently helped a stranded fellow Disco driver change a wheel on a track. He had a really heavy duty L/R wheel spanner. Tougher all over (didn't even flex when I put my whole weight on it when standing on it to crack a thread)

Now the thing is it had a Land Rover part number sticker on the plastic it came with (ah....a virgin wheel spanner) but when I enquired at the local dealer (Suttons..btw brilliant guys!!) it was the same part number ifor the usual (and somewhat weaker) spanner we are all accustomed to.

Sorry can't lay my hands on the fuel receipt I wrote the part number down on

Can anybody shed a little light on where we might track down a 'wheel brace on 'roids'?

    Cheers
    Jason

i have not eye balled a disco wheel brace, but if you need to stand on in the nuts are done up too tight in the first place.....most often by the tyre fitter with his rattle gun

sorry cannot help with the part number

You ain't wrong there, combination of rattle gun and nuts seizing on studs, the alloys were also sticking to the hubs due to corrosion (from water crossings etc)

Some people will never learn: Look after your landy and it'll look after you (most times!!)

    Cheers

If it is genuine LR then it is probably more expensive than a quality 1/2in breaker bar and socket.
