Theres some stuff related to steering wheels in the "Good Oil".
Steve
I need to replace the perished steering wheel on the missus 97 disco, what have others done in the past to rectify this? Anyone gotten hold of a new one? What are they worth or am I better to track down a boss kit and go aftermarket?
Cheers

I just got a "leather look" steering wheel cover and put over it. Looks OK.
Larns
I bought a leather cover for the wheel from Flea-Bay (search Flea Bay for Wheelskins) They are made to the exact diameter of the wheel and with careful lacing up of the upholstery wine it can look like a genuine L/R leather edged wheel (with the sun in the right place, while squinting and cocking your head to the side)
I'm happy with mine ($35.00 ish if memory serves)

I'll try those covers cheers. I looked for covers in the auto crap shops but they were all too small.
I'll have a look now
You could go for the fluffy sheepskin (elastic quit fit) - as it is for the miss's
They seem too small but will stretch over with a bit of patience.
Here's a pic of the one I got from Auto Barn fitted- it doesn't cover all the way round the rim but still Ok to drive with - it depends on how fussy you re on it looking "perfect" I guess. ( i'm not that fussy ). My steering wheel was only a bit worn on the outer rim - if yours is damaged more you might need to take it to an auto upholsterer and see if they can make up a new cover and stitch it on.
