Ive driven Sschmez's as well and mine goes a lot harder, something to do with how the auto was changing I recon, his tends to hold gears more than mine so he runs out of torgue before it changes up.

It may cost the same to run but you wont get the range and there's bugger all if any servo's in the middle of the bush or the outback .:p

Just for instance, a V8 disco, 80ltr tank (same as Diesel) drives into Mitchels flat, does about 30kms 4wding and is on fumes driving out after having a 20ltr Jerry can drink.

Granted you have a gas tank as well giving you a bit more but off road you cant beat the economy of a diesel.

Neither mine or stevo's are rocket ships but nore are 3.9V8s:D

My 3.9 is no rocket ship but does the job for me.More range would be great but the diesel sound just doesn't do it for me:p:p:p.But seriously when i bought mine the diesel was more upfront cost so the petrol gas was the way to go for me(4g Diff).More range all i need to do is add another gas tank and 2 sill tanks for petrol and a bank loan and i will have the same range as the standard diesel.:eek::eek::eek:

Elmo kicks along the road alright for a Tdi ;) Be even better now with a new filter :D . Kevin(V8) and Elmo(300tdi) seem to be pretty close together on the road tho ;) .

Mine minus mufflers sounds like a big long fart....:o

After you get the range of a standard Diesel Disco after adding all the extra weight of sill tanks and LPG tanks you will need to tow a trailer as you wont have any load area.

Mine also now has a 135ltr long range tank....how many gas tanks would you need to keep up with that :D
