    Keyless Entry 95 ES V8

I recently bought a 1995 ES and was wondering if they came with the remote for keyless entry.Im guessing it did because it has the alarm already on the car and the sensors near the rear vision mirror. But i never thought of asking the last owner if he had it. Ive seen a few posts on here for the D2 but mot much on the D1.So where could i get one and how much would i be looking at? I live in Victoria if that helps.Ive also noticed that sometimes when i unlock the car the alarm will go off.But when i lock it and open it again the alarm will turn off.Any help would be great.Thanks.

The 1995 ES came with a single button remote, part # AMR3722 but they're around $180 each from LR (retail).

You might be able to source a good used one from the UK but make sure it's 315MHz.
I know it was a simple task to programme the same remote on the RRC so I would imagine the Disco would be similar.

    Mate
I have same and had a few probs with it.
Alarm goes off if windows open and alarm left on because of their silly sensors inside. Even sunroof left open made alarm go off.

I went to a after market fitter and they put in new alarm-immobilizer with central locking hooked up to it. Cost $300 with two remotes and 3 years warranty.

I found that best way to go both reliability wise and money wise.

    Best of luck.

I would hardly call that a problem as that's the whole idea of having ultrasonic sensors. They detect a broken (or in your case, open) window.

If you don't want the ultrasonics activated, simply lock the car using the key .

    Oh,
Agree, left out the bit where it only intermittantly worked.
Sometimes had to try for 10 minutes for the remote to communicate with alarm.

New remote was expensive, I also wanted two and my landy mech that it may well be the on board unit and advised me to get aftermarket one.

    Who am I to argue.

Sorry I missed out some facts but here in Australia we also have a hot climate and I usually leave my window or roof open or at least partly so the alarm was a problem.
