    Yeah I hoped it was that simple.

    But, there are no physical signs of damage or excessive wear on the unis.

    It's all tight at both ends of the shaft.

    What next?

    You can inspect (via removeable plate on front of transmission) but I think you should talk to a tame auto trans specialist - locals from your area can give directions......

    Front prop. shaft Uni. joint folks!

    Diff. housing end, no needle bearings in one cap! Opposite cap trashed.

    A half decent sales person could have convinced me it was 5-7 thousand dollars worth of repair.

    Scared the .... out of me!

    Thank you all!

    My kids are having KFC for dinner tonight!

    P.S. Yes, I am replacing both.
