compared to melbourne $400 is a bargin. But you can inject super glue into the lining and make "spot welds" in very straight lines and even spacing. It looks excellent and really works well. It only takes 20 mins and costs $3, it will get you through till you work out another way.
Just noticed my head liner starting to sag, Mine is a 1999 D2 so it is not just a D1 problem. Do any other D2 owners have this problem?

I read in an LRM (I think) where a yank pulled it out, cleaned it down and painted it with ute bed lining paint. From the photos didn't look too bad.
Mate had his done in grey carpet however I feel it has made the interior darker. Mine needs doing as well. (both D2's) and it is also common on many cars with this style of hood lining Holden, Ford, Mitsi's etc seems the foam can't stand the heat.
I just had the lining glued back in my D1 and cost $300 however the installer said he should have charged more.He did an excellent job.
I still have to get the Freelander done , but I'm worried he may make up the shortfall in price by hitting me up on the Freelander.
A D1 or D2 with a sagging roof is bearable , in a Freelander it falls over your eyes due to the shortage of headroom. I may have to start carrying a broomhandle for a tent pole.

Yes, that's why I said late D1. They were just a textured board (more or less) but they can have problems too, depending on how much heat they've seen.
