Hey Tim
This will give you some ideas
I quite like the design of that last one ....
Hi there
The rear bar on my d1 is pretty well rusted out, i was thinking why not make a custom one, but i don't realy know what design i should go with, i want to improve the departure angle and make some sourt of recovery points
So if anyone has any pics or ideas that would be great!!!!

Thanks mate!!!!
I like that last one to!!
But i think because the d2' have a longer body the rear bars are different, but it is a great design to work off, the first one looks a bit hard to fabricate, but it also looks good.

Thanks Tim,
Even though its a D2 bar, I thought that maybe some of the concepts may be useful. Its a heavy but incredibly strong bar, and withstand BIG hits which result in nothing. The problem with it is the mounts can make it prone to some rotation - something worth considering in whatever you develop or if you adopt the mount plan that I've made.
The profile of the bar also was meant to duplicate in many respects that of the original bar, so doesn't improve (or reduce) the departure angle. Baz (Redback) has made a bar for a D2 with some of the mods that you're after and that may also be worth a look at.

Thanks again
I really like that design and it looks as if it can be done fairly easily
I'm after something light because i have already done my suspension and don't want to go to heavy and have to replace the springs with heavier ones
I'll look into it a bit more and see what i can come up with.
I have seen Baz's it also looks great!!!
Do you know if those d2 rubber looking things that rap around the rear corners just above where your bar raps around will fit a d1???
With those it could make it easyer

No probs,
Tim, I'm not sure if they'll fit. It wouldn't surprise me.
