If I can get anywhere near your 15.5l / 100km, I will be a very happy boy. Im getting about 20l / 100km so the difference in range between mine and yours is 130kms!!!!

You should get 15l/100km easily. My 3.9 RR gets 15l/100km when loaded at 90kph & my 4.6 RR gets 13-14l/100km on a nice country run.

I think the 100kph is the clincher, most hwy's, and therefore thousands of km's we did were 110 kph, which I think eats into the economy a bit.

    Otherwise, I get around 13l per 100km.

Did our Sydney - Bribie Island - Sydney trip and just got back and I was very keen to sort my fuel economy out.
Happy to say that my averages over 2200Ks and 4 complete refills with some left in the 5th tank were 14.2L/100km, 15.9L/100km, 17.7L/100km and 14.4L/100km for an average of 15.4L/100km. Im rapt in that.
I did 110km/hr when I could - the car seems looser and seems to cruise more comfortably at this speed rather than 100ish. Buggered if I know why.
Also buggered if I know why I had a discrepancy between 14.2L/100km and 17.7L/100km on the same day!!!
DJ - I think I'll pass on the LR tank mate.
Scouse - it seems the economy isn't all that bad after all. Its the 1st big road run we have done in it and the numbers just about match yours...so its all good.

Cross my heart Harry - I wouldn't joke about something as important as fuel economy
I did however, get my worst numbers going through your part of the world...musta been all uphill.

A damn good question Mrs HH and when I come up with a damn good answer, I'll get back to you.
Personally, all I can offer right now is the feeble 'sorry, we just didn't have the time'.

I was this close to buying a V8 Disco... God they sound good. Lets be honest, you don't buy one because you are worried about economy.. But they are a sweet motor.
