You would be quite suprised at what you standard D2 will do !
I'll second that. I was out with a mate just before new years and last sat on the powerlines. Funnily enough no one else was out when we went on both occasions which was a first!!

I find the biggest limiting factor on my car now (complete stock D1) is the tyre size. I used to be able to do almost all tracks in the disco (a while back now) but since all the nupties have been out there with massive wheels and ripping the crap out of the track (not idling over like Jeremy here) I can't even get close. Whats wrong with driving with a bit of brains instead of thrashing the crap out of your car and track.

Whinge aside, the mate I was with had a 79 series td v8 with 2" lift, 35's and twin lockers. My car was equalling his on occasions and going further in some real tippy sections mainly due to his having no flex and being on the verge of tipping over. Mine would sail through keeping all wheels on the ground and giving nice flex shots

However mine came unstuck where all the massive boulders are, you need at least 35's now for a lot of sections otherwise its chicken track for you. Even then some of those are getting a bit hairy.

Jeremy, do you have any bigger shots of your car on the powerlines. Its hard to see where abouts you are on the track in those shots. Also seen you driving around berfore when I've been up to rovacraft for spares. Nice looking truck

Hey Jezza, I'd just like to say I hate you
I have wanted to do the 4.6 change over for quite a while but - had the money for it then bought a harley instead. still need to do it though.

The biggest trouble is I dont have the access to all the necessary equipment to carry out the work and the cost of paying someone to do it on a Disco I in Darwin is not economically viable.

I need to make a desision soon as the 3.9 is just about buggered as the previous owner never used coolant and it is pretty eaten out

Oh by the way I was joking about hating you, only envious

    Cheers Blythe
