    D1 Air Con Problem

Air Con 12/96 Build 300Tdi Discovery. Was going fine icy cold and just stopped blowing cold, fan ok. compressor not seized. 30 Amp fuse blown and when replaced blew again as soon as air con switched on. Any ideas where to look. Thanks

Had the fan switch shorted out on mine. Maybe check aircon switch as it may have shorted or melted the wiring.
Where I would start now having done it once.
    Cheers

Check that the wire coming from the clutch at the front of the compressor hasnt rubbed through, that would be my guess as the first place to look. Otherwise it's a case of get out the multimeter and check each electrical component that it isnt shorted to earth.
