    Koni's are nice

I have Koni (adjustable) front & rear and am very happy with the balance of ride comfort and body control. They seem fairly soft in compression but strong in rebound damping to control body roll and float over undulations, without too much harshness. They are about $300/pr on eBay last time I checked. Ability to adjust to suit your setup is nice.

Although not close to you i suggest giving Shane from Suspension Stuff a call as he has a couple of options available and i cannot see why he could not arrange freight. Very good to deal with

He lists Bilstein, Boss, Lovells, and Procomp but may be able to get others also.

12 months ago I put an EFS 2" lift under my D1 it consisted of 4xsprings 4xshocks and the steering dampner all up it cost $800. Ive done about 20k km with it under the car with a few heavy loaded trips and towing the tinny as well, and I think they are great only thing I would do different is pay the extra $ and get the heavier rated rear springs. I will be buying EFS next time I need suspension, Oh and I shopped around and the best place I found for price was ACE tyre and mechanical at hemmant (brisbane) hope this helps

I use Gabriel HD shocks all round, made in USA, and reasonably priced. Work well onroad which accounts for 95% of my use with uprated springs. Get them from Supercheap.

I have Dobinson on the D1 - very nice still after 3 years and 70,000k - not too stiff and nice ride but with good rebound control. I was going to go EFS on the D2 so I kept some nice ride characteristics from stock, because the Dobinson have a different part no for the D2 and my brother who sells a heap of shocks reckons that they are pretty XR6 style...anyway the EFS were taking too long to get in and I went Dobinson because he had them and I am wrapped. Yep they are stiffer than stock and jiggle the rig a little on bad sealed roads, but by Christ the truck handles and seems to have added a ton in weight when on the highway...it seems to flatten out large bumps at highway speed; sounds odd but thats my feel of it.

    Cheers

PS. Dobinsons are underrated sometimes, as are EFS. The Dobinsons for the D2 were about $240 a pair from memory.
