    D1 shockies

Dont want to spend a heaps but want desent quality
    So Far
    Rancho rs5000 - $140ea
    Old man Emu - $169
    Ironman - $120
Getting a bit frustrated with a local suppler. He quote me the OLd Man Emu @ $169 and I asked about Dobison (sp) and a few others and it would have been easier to extract teeth, didnt seem to want to know. So what are others using and at what price
    cheers

DO NOT fit Ranchos to your vehicle. You will regret it.
OME are 'average' on a D1
Ironman, well as long as you are not pounding them on corrugations in high temps they'll do the job, just.
I would spend good $ on good shocks.

DeCarbon, $180each(Just had a huge price hike)
Koni or Bilstein are then the best options, haven't got current prices on these but are well worth fitting.

The Isuzu 110. Solid and as dependable as a rock, coming soon with auto box😊
The Range Rover L322 4.4.TTDV8 ....probably won't bother with the remap..😈

Recommended retail for OME shocks is $152 not $169.

I reckon some of that would depend on where you live, supply and demand and the store you deal with.

    Here try these guys,

    Driveline

    http://www.driveline.com.au/assets/P...0July%2007.pdf

I put a full set onto my disco 1, I had Rancho's then Boge, then used these guys. The shocks were gas and had a 2 inch length over the standard. Ride was very good but not harsh.

The springs were Dobinson 2 inch lift and had been on for 6 years with minor sagging.

The club I am in, in Brisbane went out on site for a tour one weekend, and from this I found that they gave a club discount.

The price I got for all 4 shocks after the club discount was just under $400 inc GST last year 2008. Had to show the mebership card.

Springs through them are around $150 a pair. They will put whatever brand under if you wish. For the Dobinsons they suggested going direct as they didn't get a discount. (I didn't get around to upgrading the springs as I sold the car to HooDoo Brown)

I would recommend these shocks to all. Very happy with performance and price.
