    Recovery points

Went shopping today picked up some speakers for the mac , but more importantly i got some recovery hooks for $5 each they were the last two in stock

Well after the excitement i came home and went to put them on the D1 but im not sure where to bolt them on to as i have a bull bar, do i need to use longer high tension bolts to put them on with the bull bar?

Any pics and superb descriptions welcomed

    James.

Picures would be good, but yes I would use decent rated bolts. grade 8.8 or above.

You might beable to bolt them straight through the top of the bar
Might have to take the bar off though
Not shore how thick the steel is.

You need to bolt them as close as possible and inline with the chassis mounting brackets of the bar using hi tensile bolts/washers/spring washers and some nice thick 6-8mm pieces of plate to help spread any load over the mounting surfaces. Just under or over the rubber bumpers on the bar is usually where they are fitted.
