I'm pretty sure that the airbag and non-airbag steering wheels for a D1 are different sizes. The airbag one is a bit smaller. Might explain you problems if the seller has one size for Discos.

yeah maybe.....although the states would of had the disco steering wheels with airbags I'm assuming as all cars over there have to have them hence why the defender stopped getting sold over there. unless they have a different size wheel again.....as I believe a lot of cars in the states also have oversized airbags.
on the second one he sent me I also measured the wheel and gave him measurements but the one he sent me was ever so slightly bigger than the measurements given, I'm wondering whether that is the closest cover he had in size

I'm not unhappy with it I have gotten quite used to it actually and its not as unsightly as it looks in the photos....you never know when the sun gets on it might shrink it down a bit.

No mine has no airbag (as per the pic)

Tell you what, I'll lay a tape around the outer circumfernce of the wheel and see what the exact outer size is. This we'll compare to the 16" of the cover that fits mine perfectly (I'm guessing that there will be % less to allow the cover to fit snugly and tight)
Then if you measure the outer edge of your wheel and we apply the same ratio we should know what size cover to request to get the same standard of fit.

    Did that all make sense?

    I'll measure it up today
