I went back to British Offroad and got the spacer I needed. They gave it to me for free and a discount on another seal. Thought I should put another seal in as I had too pull the other one out because it had been pushed in too far. Vibration gone and passed rwc. I'm happy and I must admit British Offroad has always treated me well so I have no complaints.

The sign of a good supplier or mechanic.

Not that they are not human and make mistakes, but they go out of their way to rectify the issue after a problem occurs.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

    This is the part.

but note that the later 4bolt flanges had the spacer and flange as one part such as on this 3bolt flange.

    Why replace the donut?
they do there job, reduce vibration, are cheap and simple to replace 10 minute job.
they last for ages and you can see them starting to perish.

Seems like hardly worth the effort to me.

    Cheers

If I wasn't going to do a spring lift I would have stayed with the donut. They don't like the extra angle you get with a lift.

Can you just buy the spacer from someone???

The old man needs this done, I have a spare (smashed diff) pinion flange and a rangie shaft.....therefore only require the spacer??

    Cheers

Mine has a 50mm lift I have had this for 90,000km (much has been hard 4wd) and have just replaced the donut it started to perish. Not a big job over that many km's better than stuffing around and changing the flange as I see.

D2 has less of a pinion angle, even with a lift. The D1's have way more donut issues.
