You jack the engine up, remove the engine mount rubbers and drop it down onto the chassis.
Be sure to remove the viscous fan and shroud.
Then there is room at the top
Do I get a prize???

I remove gearbox mounts, lower the rear end of the gearbox, and use 2 500mm extension bars that extend from the bolts to behind the t/case.
oh thats easy...... you should come and see some of the wierdo places critical nuts and bolts get to in some vehicles.
theres one vehicle at work atm I have to replace one piddling part its held in by one piddling bolt...
to get to that bolt I have to pull the engine and gearbox out.
with the piddling part broken, the brakes dont work.

I just remembered how we did mine, i took all the console out and got them with a long extension from up top, but first we lowered the g'box, didn't have to touch the engine mounts
We used an engine crane and lowered it through the gear stick holes in the trans tunnel.

I recall reading in the Haynes Manual to take the centre console out remove the sealing plate for the tran tunnel and use an engine crane through the passenger side door, (that was to do the clutch) and lower the transmission onto a trolley jack. So I gather the trans bolts were accessed fron the centre console
