not had one done there yet but the department of interior do them.....
planning on taking the one from the 90 there to get it done.
So I got sick of people asking me about my hood lining sagging, so this afternoon I pulled it all out and am hopefully going to take it in to get redone this week. Also, part of me is thinking about selling the Disco and maybe looking round for a Defender ute, so I figured it'd be nice to fix up a few things like that. Anyone got any good hook ups with getting it done?

Mums- stock 92 200tdi d1.
I used the motor trimmer in Cowper St, Granville for 3 LR headlinings recently. He did a good job IMO for just over $100 each.

supercheap auto - spray contact glue (in a cheap looking green can)
brush
vacuum cleaner
pull half the lining off the backing (left or right side) first
sweep the foam off the backing and off the cloth
vacuum both cloth and backing
spray contact glue on cloth and backing - wait
carefully roll the cloth over the backing smoothing as you go
Wait until the next day and repeat for the other side.
you might as well as you've already done the hard part and taken the lining out.
Hot tip is always side to side not front to back as any lines are less noticeable to the occupants.
If your getting rid of the D1 are you also looking at getting rid of the soft locker?

Are we talking about 'Hood' lining as in the engine bay bonnet sound deadner/lining?......or the roof lining found inside the car?
I had mine done by a motor trimmer Jeff Squires near Peakhurst (Southern Suburbs.) I took it out but he fitted it back in, Jeff is the trimmer that A & J Corban Smash recommend.
His phone was 0418 295 484 or (02) 9584 1434.
What ever you do, don't attempt to re-stick the old lining with an adhesive. It will never work properly, will look ugly with lumps everywhere, it won't last and will cost you more for the trimmer to repair.
Given that in a Land Rover the canvas soft top is a "hood" then the lining inside the engine bay would be a bonnet lining wouldn't it?![]()
You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
