I did the heads on my V8 a few months ago. I'm a mechanic by trade, but that's not to say others couldn't tackle it themselves. Overall I did the whole job for about $600. My heads were good so I just had them cleaned and skimmed, then fitted the new VRS set. Main pain in the arse is the angle torque head bolts. Excuse the pottyness, but getting to them is a ****, getting them undone and done up is a ****. Saving the money is a plus.
