What shocks for standard ride height

    Just for something completely different!
I need to replace the shocks in my D1. (she is all over the place with heavy braking and getting up a sway pushing into corners on dirt tracks SCAREY)
A search of the forum has all the advise one could ask for in regards to 2" + lifts and extended travel etc etc for serious off roading and climbing "gum trees".
But I am more than happy with my standard ride height (have never found anything I could not tackle YET!).
I do 80+% on road and would just like some good quality reasonably firm shocks.
My springs appear to be original (getting close to 200k now) but appear to still hold good ride height.
I seldom tow anything (an occasional 6x4 box trailer) and my off roading is usually a couple of bodies with an esky and basic camping & recovery gear in the back (400 kg total load).
Currently have Bilsteins but they are definitely showing their age.
Recommendations please. (nothing too erotic sorry exotic $$$ please)

    Thanks
    Thommo

I suggest you rebuild your Bilsteins.

    I agree with locorr.

If you can go without the vehicle for a short while, get the Billies rebuilt.

    Hi All
Anyone had much experience with Boge as a replacement for a standard setup?.I am in a similar situation as Thommo and dont get into anything offroad much more than a day on the beach with a light load onboard.
I dont want to lose the comfortable ride but the original LR shocks are really in need of replacement.
I am still running the standard springs which have only dropped about 15mm from the measurements I have taken.
    Thanks
