which snorkel

I am looking for one as well and I have had a safari before with no issues. I have thought of making a stainless steel snorkel but still think the safari is a safer water safe option and have been to the safari factory, they are very professional in how they work etc. I go off what my experience and other experience, if a lot say negative things then I dont buy, why risk it!
I have heard somewhere that some snorkels are not water tight they are only water resistant!! :eek:

this is true as some use foam to seal which is not good enough they in my mind need to be sealed with a sealant like sikaflex just need to be carefull as some silicones can put of fumes that will play havoc, best bet is to leave the intake undone till it dries

has anyone got one of these are they any good i asume they may not seal like a safari would but thats nothing sikaflex wont sort out what your thoughts and experiance is the extra cost for a a safari justafiable

I popped into British4WD while in Hobart a couple of months back. While I was there I had a look at that install, and spoke to Alan about it. He said that the original instructions were pretty ordinary, but he now provides some better ones based on the experience of his own installation.
