The rule is no lights are to be mounted above the head lights, But if the lights have covers fitted there should not be a problem. If you are caught using your driving lights on a public road that when your problems start. I also remember hearing that all fog /driving lights must be fitted in pairs.

ahahahahahaha i know exactly what yoy mean by having light all around because there is nothing worse than coming into a corner and only being able to see a little patch in front :mad: oh and also i have herd that these HID kits that you can get to put in your exiting lights they are suposedly illegal in the UK so im asuming they would be illegal over here as well. but how will they know haha :D i must say im pretty impressed with my dads IPF halogen driving lights they are at least twice as bright as my halogen KC's and its a nice crisp light that you can even see a cricket hop across the ground 20m away and im also impressed with the design of the narva range also esspecially the extreme range i think its called?
your friend is right, you can get away with it if they have covers and are rearward facing at the end of the day its all a thing of luck was it the lights that got there attention or was it something else and than light were just something else they were able to get him forQuote:

yea i normally head camping at night and there is nothing worse than my last trip where i had a hand drawn map on the back of an envelope with kep points like there is a dozer in a paddoch turn there, it was supposed to be 2 1/2 hours took me 7 1/2 hours coz i didnt see the dozer with my high beam so i thought 4 spots on the roof will put light up above you than spread them out nice and wide but keep the straight long distace spots on the bar, the narvas are a top light i rekon there as good as a lightforce but 1/3 the priceQuote:

was wonderfull i got very lost was on my own and on a lot of my u turns i would select d or r and the lights were on but no one was home i was in the middle of nowhere pitch black crap lights no reception i wasnt happy but now that i look back it was pretty funny what one missed turn done to me, i have had lightforce 240 and 140 and yes they are not worth what they sell for they are like a toyota an overpriced item for the name, narva make a great light i rekon, i want to run ultima 225 or taurus on my front barQuote:

once i was there i was able to have a laugh about it but not on the way i wasnt, that trip is the reason for the amount of lights im putting on her, lights on the roof on the bar on the roof at the back inside the cab im not going sparing on light lolQuote:

The cable runs up the side of the windsheild behind the snorkel and uses rubber liner P-clips screwed into the rubber windsheild strip.
I used the waterproof connectors availale from decent boat yards.
