S1 Nudge Bar Air Bar Question

I assume the cans are part of the crumple zone so the airbags don't trigger in a minor collision.

In all but the 1995 model D1, the airbags are triggered by a decelleration meter. If there were no crush cans, the airbag would trigger earlier than it should.
That's my take on it anyway.

I made the assumption that because you only see them on Airbag compliant bullbars that they "Triggered" the airbag . It would apprear the opposite. They absorb minor impacts to prevent.

I sold my nudge bar (East Coast Bull Bars) ages ago.
I used it to perch my spotties and aerial on. I thought I would pickup a 2nd hand air-bag compatible winch bar straight away for a good price.

Nope - still looking. Dumb Dumb Dumb.
Can't bring myself to get rogered by ARB for about $2k.
