How to fill your swivel hub???

you'd want to hope the one shot isnt the colour of honey, its supposed to be a kind of metalic silvery colour about halfway between molybdenum and nickle base antisieze. 85/140 and 100/210 are the colour of honey.

funny that its going to be about 2 weeks before I can do the how to. top your swives up with oil for now and wait out. (send me a pm every now ant then to remind me when I do the disco I have to take the camera for a howto)

try to get it from british4x4 i cant remember the size 42" or 52" something like that lol

roverparts in ballarat have them in stock, $20 or so 52mm hub socket

I knew someone would pick up on this.

My one shot is a formulation made by a local supplier and sold by Graeme Cooper some years ago, and is a honey colour, and came in a sealant gun container which is very convenient.

yeah i think i will just top it up for the moment, what sort of oil should i use???

Id go 85/140 for now its thick so it wont leak out too quickly.

What is the go for old D1s and renewing the swivel lube?
Mine has no level or drain plug and I wonder how dodgy the old lube in it is. It just looks like grey grease/oil when I dip a zip tie into it.
What is the best way to empty it and refill..or isnt it worth it if you can determine there is enough oil in it.
I have topped up from time to time with 80/90 and Moreys and recently did that so they are not dry at least.

If they arnt leaking yet stick with your 80/90. I'm sure it's level with the filler plug. No drain plug sounds strange I'm sure my series even has drain plugs. If they are leaking go get some 1 shot swivel lube grease packs. It's basically LMM grease and some 80/90 mixed together if I'm not mistaken. I'm currently using just LMM grease and I've had no problems or no leaks but I should change my seals.

You fill it about 1/2 way or to the level of the level plug if you have one.
A way to do it if there is no level plug, is to turn on lock and dip it with a zip tie.
You will see the oil on the zip tie. This applies to oil or one shot grease.
