this is the result of why I need relocation cones....i just have a 2" lift nothing fancy. and apparently before I even took this pick I was flexed up even better in the big pot holes I had just driven through. I drove through this very slow so as you can see you dont need to go hard just to get flex...I do drive like a softy and still get most places...

Hey Vaughan you coming out on any of the trips coming up? 19th & 21st I think......

I'd like to but I've got a bit of a vacuum advance issue at the moment so Betty is not happy at tick over or low revs

This is with the rear disconnected and the front still hooked up. Seems to flex enough for my liking. Any more flex and there'd be no point having grippy tyres :P

Nice pic Boxer, where is that track?

Im running 2in lifted king springs and OME shocks that come with the OME 2in lift, i havent had an issue with dislocating springs but i have had problems with the bushes pulling off the ends of the rear shocks which would indicate to me that they are to short for the amount of flex the rear wants to do. I dont have any sway bars on at all either.

Next job is to talk to Shane about new suspension when i get some cash saved up, i want to do the 3in lift and dropped radius arms etc aswell so need to put a few bucks away first.

    Interesting.
My 300TDi with bog standard suspension and sway bars pulled the bush off the bottom of the left front shock. Thought the nut had come undone and dropped the washer too, but no the nut was still there inside the bush just the washer gone. A right ***** to work on on the side of the road.

Same thing happened to me, washer and bush was gone, nut still in place. I limped it into town bought a soft rubber bush instead of the hard poly **** and got a nice heavy duty steal washer from the spare bits box at the local 4wd place. Hasnt happened since.
