Full throttle checked on Sunday.
Stiff feeling at end is the kickdown cable "switching" in the auto.

If the engine is running pumping the manual arm on the lift pump wont do much. Undo the nut directly ontop of the fuel filter housing with the motor running, dont take it all the way out diesel will go everywhere. Just back it off so that fuel dribbles out. Let some fuel run out and any air will escape with it. Once you have done this undo each fuel line where it bolts onto the top of the injector, let some fuel spray out each of those.
If there is air in the fuel line it wont run right. If that doesnt work, check that the throttle cable is adjusted right at the injector pump aswell.
Naa mate nothing like whats happening with me, i just dont bloody get it!!
i might have to change the fuel pump a.s.a.p when i get a chance and see if it could be that ahhhhhhhh beside that i really dont know what to look for. might also undo the fuel filter bleed bolt and see what happens.
You might need to box the disco up and send it to JC via the post, or you could bribe him with a free cup of coffee and he could come to you lol?
Other than that mate stick at it, you will find the problem eventually, and if your luck is anything like mine, it'll be the simplest, cheapest piece of crap part that has been giving you the curry this whole time!
When you find it, smash it to pieces with a big stick, you'll feel at lot better afterwards!
Hey All,
just an update on this weird problem with power loss, there has been no change at all. its been nearly 2weeks and i have not got the power back and i've noticed that i am going through alot more fuel now when its under load or it feels like its underload, so i'm just going to drive the bloody thing until something goes and then i might find out what the problem is.
cheers simon
Hey matey, Have you checked the turbo compensator as per Blknight's idea?
Is the intercooler leaking?
I still think it's not getting full boost.
Recheck the hose clamps bud.
Cheers.
Hi Joker
Only take you 3hrs to drive down to see Jc, 20 minutes from werribee to the boat ( I often do that trip), then you only have a bit over 2.5 hrs down to JC workshop. Nice relaxing night on the boat having a few ales, only cost you about $200 each way whick is small change compared to the head aches and money already spent.
cheers

Just took the missus to work and i usualy start the car up and let her idle for a few minutes while taking a puff, while we where at the front of the truck there was a change in idle, when started she was idleing slow and rough as guts then about 2mins later on its own it changed idle and was going faster and smoother. LoL i dont get it, then went for a drive and she was all good....I'm going to change the fuel lift pump on tuesday when i get some funds in and will be fixing the vaccum pump as well.
I hoping its something with the fuel pump we shall soon see but it was weird how it change idle any idea's on that???
