Had the cyl head done 3/3/09 plus radiator hoses ect. $4215.00
Regulary serviced. Have the complete service history
It was our managers vehicle and was sent out to one our company depot

Mark, firstly this should be in the Discovery series 1 section, but anyway, with 498K it isn't worth much, although you can pretty much ignore the speedo reading IF all the maintenance is up to it and some of the big $$ have been spent already which is good for you. They are easily capable of 550K plus, with good maintenance and no driver abuse. I would still think about it if the vehicle is neat and tidy. You will get a good vehicle for very little $ hopefully.

Try and get it checked out too before you buy. Things like timing belt replacement and wheel bearing servicing should be up to date, and electronics like ABS and SRS etc also need to be functioning correctly.

    Nice model the Se7 too.

The Isuzu 110. Solid and as dependable as a rock, coming soon with auto box😊
The Range Rover L322 4.4.TTDV8 ....probably won't bother with the remap..😈

    Thanks JC
I have never taken a real lot of notice of the discovery variety
I just printed out the full 22 page service record from day one
It has been serviced on the dot all the time. Always refered as a D2 on all the paper work.
Had $12946.80 including rego since 19/10.04
    Body perfect. rust Nil
The only thing is a bad oil leak at rear of engine. They say It's not the rear main but behind it somewhere.
Don't know mutch about all the electrickery stuff
probably get it for less than a set of tyres...........Might take a gamble....Mark

Buy it and sell it off for parts and get more than your money back.

Alternatively, you may love it and drive it for the next ten years.

I have a 97 SE7 TDI with 385000Ks thats had all its services and it goes great!! but there is a comon fault with the vacumm pump on the injector side of the motor that leaks oil down the back of the motor. It used to cost about $800-1000 to fix, now you can buy a genuine replacement for about $360 from Rover parts in Victoria or if you know a fitter you can have the original fixed. Its not a big job but you do need to know what your doing.

I didn't steal it but it was close
It all started at a board meeting about cutting costs
an a few excess veichles. and the "range rover came up"
I sez we don't own a RR "oh you know the blue one"
Brain ticking....... 98 model wrote down to nothing
    I asked what's wrong with it/

It's a bomb oil leaks every where. It came down from the country depot
on the friday arvo as i was there putting in some dockets. Me thinks if it came down under its own power mast be good.
Any way got the girls to get the full service history and every dollar that was spent. The bean counter wanted to send it to the auctions.
Big mistake, i said to be fair we should offer it to staff internaly first
as if i were to get it cheap people might say i used my position unfairly.
Generated a bit if interest i paniced and barged in and said it was un roadworthy with a leaking steering box and a cracked windscreen
wrote out a cheque for the first amount talked about
got the recipt and rego papers ect and bolted

it has got a few issues and by the time i fix everything
it wont be that cheap. Worth doing i think.........Mark

Same colour as mine. It's Oxford Blue Pearl. Simply the best Disco colour ever IMO!
