Hmm mitch that disco wouldnt hapen to be a diesel auto would it with 4 spotties on the roof? i have a strange feeling... =]
    Welcome Dan
I'm not 100% shore what the viscous coupling is, if it's the rubber do-nut thing on the drive shaft, your's doesn't have it, they were introduced in the update disco1 (94rish)

With the oil in the bearings that would most likely just be one of the seals leaking in your hub or stub axle, probably an idea to replace everything and convert to oil fed bearings

Rangies have a viscous coupling that acts like a sort of passive centre diff lock, automatically adjusting front and rear drive as needed.

Discos do not have this viscous coupling, they have the manual diff lock instead that completely locks the front and rear drive shafts together.

Keep the oil cool / add oil coolers if your towing / service & change the oil regularly and don't abuse the s**t out of it ... and it will outlast some manuals
