Looks good mate , a very neat install, I should get aroud to instaling mine soon , it's in a bag in the garage.
I bought some relays and associated cabling etc from Drivesafe (Traxide) for my headlight conversion. Took from 10am to 4pm to do, took my time as I wanted the job to looks factory.
Placed the relay (dual type) near the fuse box and ran the cabling across the front to the other side. Finished it all with split tube
As yet to install the second relay for the spotties.

i installed the combo kit myself...I think that is testament to how good tims in structions are to follow![]()
Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......
Very tidy install , good to see pride in a tidy job. what conversion is it that you were doing , i would assume doing away with some evil lucas system =]
I wanted it to look tidy and clean... the only thing that I did was not order enough 4mm cable so ended up using the Red, hence why you can see 3 red and only 1 black.
Dan, the work is just the normal 'add relays to the headlights' job. Makes the standard globes operate to their 'max' but also, more importantly, avoids the expensive headlight stalk switch from burning out.

nice job Carlos, now lets get it muddy
seriousloy tho, you will have to get the nudge bar finished and get the lightforces on there![]()
As already said a very tidy installation.
Might I also suggest spraying some Lanotec on the fuse section of the relay to seal this. Drivesafe and I discussed this when I was putting the kit in my Tdi Defender as it was obvious it would get wet and from your pictures I think you must get mud and moisture up around the that location.

Top job!! I think that I have to drive the Defe to Tassie for an installation!
It would be cheap, 6000 km return![]()
Did some more work yesterday on the spot light wiring. You may or may not know that the Disco has two sets of wiring from the switch to the headlights. So one set to the left headlight another to the right. Now what I have done is used the right wiring to trigger the dual relay for the main headlights (low and high beam). Im actually thinking of purchasing another dual relay and splitting the funtions so that you have a relay for each light (4 relays - but only 2 cases using the dual relay).
Ive now cut the left headlight wire (blue and white) where it passes under the steering wheel (fuse box area). The I connected both halves to wires runnig up under the speedo dash and into another switch I bought of JC. So I have a stock disco switch that is the overide for the spot lights![]()
I placed the single relay for the spotties on the left side headlight cavity as, of course, im using the left side headlight cabling. I cut the plug off and connected these to the relay. I used the blue/white and black, the low beam cable I taped off.
So its looking very factory now, not long before I have the lightforces wired up - just gotta finish the other Brush Bar project first!
