    horsepower ipod dyno dynolicious

dose any one have an ipod touch and would like to post there dyno results, im not looking to brag or any thing like that, just get it tuned up, and see what other land rover discoverys are doing, i have set my settings to zero and with a weight of 2350 kg, my truck has extra gear on it that is heavy, eg 120 L lpg and bull bar roof rack ect, i would recomend taking your wheels to public weigh station some are free some cost 15$. using the ipod, it must be firmly fixed, i hold mine down with 2 fingers on the rubber by the shifter, the cigeret lighter holder vibrates too much, hear is what i came up with,

between 95-101 horse power at the wheels first shift,

between 107-116 hp at the wheels with k&n airfilter installed and on high octane petrol

99-107 hp at wheels on lpg. i was surprized to see the power was almost the same on readings, it seemed to pick up later in the rev range, eg it feels like it lags to start then pulles, where as petrol pull harder at the start then dosent climb revs as fast over about 4ooo rpm.

this is with a setting of 0% loss of power , eg if you set your settings to 20% the hp will be showing flywheel horspower, i am only intested in listings of wheel hp please, eg my run did 116 hp at the wheels and would have around say 140 at the engine, please post wheel hp, as fairnes to other people because tempiture and oils may vary friction results.

So does this mean that this can only be done with airbag models? Or do the first of the updated Discos without airbags, and the pre update models have accelerometers also?

thats what I ment. Any thing that has the auto rotate or flip/flick to control method should be hackable to do it.

oh i have one called pocket dyno that you can get a free version of, it only limits it to store settings for 1 car at a time and has a few adds that make you wait with a countdown, but otherwise it works very well.
