So i take it that the internals cant be reused for parts but what about the outside of the pump???

Was hoping not to come back to this thread BUT......
after changing the injector pump she was flying, after i changed over the speedo cable it went even better but now its slowly getting that hard feeling again. after a bit of a squirt yesterday out playing when coming home she was fine but before that the pedal seemed hard a little as to being soft now.
had a look at the pedal and everything seems fine even put a little wd on it.
hey i know how u feel joker
if it makes u feel any better i hav a 2 page dot point word document about all the things i hav replaced on my 200tdi defender :o
just a few:
.timing belt/pulley
.water pump
.tail shafts
.all wheel bearings
.fuel tank leaking so got it fixed
.brake pads
.speedo cable
.ignition switch
.all the headlights
.clucth master cylinder
.full clutch setup including custom pressure plate
.new alternator
.new thermostat
.all new hoses and turbo hoses
.new gaskets all over the engine including head gasket
.got a full head reco (valves done, head machined, new seats and chemical cleaned) luckily one thing was in my favour and that was the bore still had perfect hone marks and no wear at all and pistons were perfect :D(probably due to servicing every 5000km on the dot or she does not get driven until it is done) i also change gearbox oil every 5000km on my lt77 (overkill but a prefer to buy oil than gearboxes) and with 270k on the clock the gearbox is still tight and no wines etc etc
.new fan belt after it throwing one off at 90kmh/h and drove it for 100 kilometers until i realised (luckily no engine demage at all) and the theromstat read normal :D (tuff little bugger if it was a toyomota it would hav been a bad ending:D)
anyways there is other things that hav been fixed and replaced and custom made just to try and make it a good rig but after all that work and time spent it gets very frustrating having way less power than my dads 300tdi that has not a thing done to it
so i also get frustarted with my landy because everything is hard to work on (mainly because there different to other vehicles) but that is overcome by sitting back and taking a different approach and some research.also had the thoughts of getting a hilux or land cruiser due to being fed up with landys but then when ever i dont drive it for awhile i am anxious to hop back in it for a drive even though landy drivers get bagged out by others but the love for landys starts all over again until something goes wrong again (a big circle)
but as everyone else will probably agree with is once u hav had one u will always regret selling it no matter how many problems it may pose:D they just grow on u:angel:
ok now to my opinions on wat may be some reasons (forgive me if they hav been suggested already)
1.timing will be a big thing
2.check the turbo boost pressure (overboosting will lead to surging)
3.get a new air filter if u already dont hav one
4.check for any cracks in fuel lines between the diesel injector pump and the engine and lines from the turbo (as someone else suggested)
5.if problem persists probably should get a compression test done (and question the diesel shops on wat the readings were because some diesel mechanics dont even hav the tools setup for landys only for nissan's and toyomota's so they will just tell u wat u want to hear )
6.get the injectors tested to see what there cracking pressure is (should be around 200bar give or take but any big difference should be corrected)
7.i cant think of anymore things at this point
cheers!
