Yes you can join the heater hoses together. Just need a short piece of pipe. Use the clamps that are there should take about 3 minutes.
hey guys
last few days i have noticed water leaking into the front 2 foot wells
i was on my way back from warbie here in vic, and i wanted to use my heater thought if i turn it full it should be hot straight away after driving all day it wasnt it had a slight hit of heat in it
tell me have i blown the heater core??????
witht he two heater hose going into the firewall ca i re-plum them into each other so the heater no longer leak untill its fixed????
also im having handling issues i know it pulls to the left a fair bit but on dirt roads i seem to almost looose it around corners
also happens when i use the brake any ideas???

1. The heater in these things is dodgy from the start, IMO. My Mitsubishi Canter will burn your feet off 30 secs. after start. The Disco takes ages to kick in. Plenty of threads on here about this issue.
2. Dude! You are driving a 2.5 tonne brick on wheels. Anything over 60ks on a dirt road with curves and you are taking a risk.
my nissan patrol handled better then this thing did on dirt hell my 3 ton 60 seires handled good on dirt
jut odd things like tap the brake and off to the right it went, hit a pot hole and just about 90 degree turn left nearly went throught the bright barrires at gemie 4 weeks ago
My disco has no problems with handling on or off road at speed .
If you have the vehicle set up properly with good suspenion and steering aswell as tyres there should,nt be a problem.
And as for nissans or toyotas handling better>> driven both and would choose my disco over them both without a second thought ! but each to there own......
mmmm, might be time to have my suspension checked as I find my Disco quite 'twitchy' when variable road cambers and surfaces are combined with speed.
Ended-up at right angles to the road around the Gembrook area myself. Scared the bejesus out the family.
do you have bigger wheels on the disco.....how old is your steering damper.
how old is your suspension?
have you had the swivel preload checked?
touching the brakes and it shooting off to the side is a worry.....have you looked at your brakes any leaks etc kinks in pipes....
Have you checked anything???? personally I wouldn't drive my car at great speed on dirt roads but it handles 60 no probs wouldn't go faster thats my personal choice...there are a lot of things you can check...
Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......
Check your wheel bearings aswell
