    info wanted

    who makes or the brand name of the disco v8i alternator? and what amps ary they? i figure 65 amps maybe??????

    sticker i just looked at on my Alt says Magnet Marelli made in Italy, 35804/3 MAN829 14v 100A , make what you like of all the numbers ect. they mean nothing to me

    What year?
    V belt or multi rib?
    The 92-93 with vbelt are Magneto Marelli ( IE Lucas prince of darkness)usually 65 amp.
    They can be replaced with a Bosch 85 amp with some fiddling.
    The later ones are more difficult.
    You can get the Magneto Marellis from UK ( or they may be Chinese copies) but they are more expensive.

    flatt ribbed

    i burnt out the bearings on it so i m doing a clean up and replacing things

    My old 95 V8i with ribbed serpentine belt had the Magnetti Marelli.
