just want som thought about it
as always i have 95 v8i 3.9L
i have re plum the heater hose into it self so now i cuts out the heater
i seem to still get a tad hot
iv re bleed the air out from the bung plug watching lots of little air bubbles come out, whiche facing the slight incline as i dont have ramps
while doing this i tryed smelling for exhaust feums to which i could only small boiled water, i looked for signs of oil in the water to which i couldnt see any,
i noticed one a/c fan not working
i can see leaking from the heater hoses on driver side and a sligh brownish sludge pile under the plenum heating chamber
last friday on way home before i unhooked the heater hoses
she was leaking green from the back some where it was dripping off starter onto ground
should i look at better hose clamps to clamp tighter? and i am looking into replacing a/c fan ,
what else can you sujest, i been reading through rave03 not making too much sense to me

Looks like you've got a few things that need attention, but is your thermatic fan working? That's the one that makes the "roaring" sound when you first start your car, and which goes quiet after 30 seconds or so.
I had heaps of overheating probs, knowing mine was dodgy. Eventually I bit the bullet and got it replaced. No problems since then.

give the system a good flush out if you have brown fluid build up.
Also go around and check all the heater clamps as it sounds like it could be weapling from there. See that you dont have a rust spot along the heater pipe as that can also happen and are very hard to notice.

I've been chasing overheating issues in our D1 SE, and found.... the themostat was bung (17$), then the radiator was 60% blocked (110$), then the fan coupling was buggered - brand new and stopped working (240$)
Still has some gurgling behind the dash...not a head gasket though as these have also been done recently...just air still in the system...
also the fuse on the AC which controls the electric fans was blown.
...some of this may assist

i know one of the thermals aint working thou there power to it will replace this week,
i did hear gargling over the weekend but it was in the dash as the heater core leaks so this has been temp bypassed <no heater>
i think i will take it for a proper flush out anyone know whats it worth???

Is your viscous coupling ok, it's the centre of the fan on the waterpump.
Check when engine is running hotter than usual, can you hear the fan roar when you rev the engine, if not then it's free-spining and not drawing air through the radiator to cool it.

nah the viscous coupling roars pritty, good pulled the littl cover off the bottom of the inlett manifold to find one of the small pipe had rusted away just about so im guessing the radiators full of rust particals etcRe fan coupling,
