we just brought one for the disco today and it was 92 degrees??????
Hello,
I am replacing the thermostat in my 3.9 V8 Disco1 MY95 and the one I bought from REPCO is 82 degrees. It apparently suits all RRC and Disco1.
Should I return it for an 88 degree version or is the 82 alright. No idea what is in it at the moment as I haven't pulled it out yet.
Thanks

We just got our power back on. Nice to check in and see you've been busy without me
Yes Dullbird not the same engine. I've no idea what the 300Tdi takes.
I was hesitant when the REPCO guy said it suited all the 3.5 and 3.9 V8s as some were carby and others varying types of fuel injection.
Didn't get the chance to pull the old one out due to the monumental amount of rain we've had. I'll see what the old one is then. I also run dual fuel if it makes a difference.
I'm fitting it in conjunction with new hoses and I had my radiator rodded out today so I am all excited to see how it is when it's back together
Radiator was 15-20% blocked and had a slow leak. $110 to get done for those that are interested in doing the same.
Justin,
the Higher temp one is for your later serpentine engine, if you fit the 82 degree one it'll use more fuel.
(Edit, oops sorry forgot you are in Brissy, you'd probably get away with the 82 degree one in your ambient temperature, down here I would definately use the 88degree one)
