For a tank to split so soon, maybe thee are other issues. Why is the pressure so high causing it to split and why is the pressure cap not letting out the pressure. I had an issue with mine it turned out to be exhaust gases entering the coolant and also the rad was partially blocked inside.

I have had a look at the Allisport ones and they are a very nice well made piece of kit, the one pictured above is probably not an Allisport unit as they come highly polished and you do not have to drill your own holes.

Hot off the Allisport web site. Yes it was highly polished, Probably dulled up a little cause it has been sitting on the bench for about a year or so. I added the gussets because i was not happy with the design (personal choice)....
