What colour was your header tank, Lou? White or black? I know the black are prone to splitting.
Ok I have contacted Alli sport for a postage quote as I'm considering getting one of these now my expansion tank has split on the weld.
they are not the cheapest but at least it will last and wont crack/split..
Before I go silly saving and spending money can anyone tell me if there is someone in OZ that makes them? I'm not talking going to a fab shop and asking them to make one I want one already made that can bolt up and is hassle free.
If not I might pursue this one

Personally I'd put the white/opaque one in as you can see the level in it.

I bought one a while ago
I made gussets for the mounting angles as i was not happy with them.
You have to drill the mounting holes

i had a very expensive white one installed by a new lr mechanic in Darwin and didn's even get to qld border when i luckily was driving at night with the ac off and had my hand out the window. i felt a few 'bugs' hitting my hand then more and more then realised nothing was hitting the windscreen. strange! then realised it was coolant flicking out from under the front wheel area. the bloody new tank's small hose stem had cracked and she was blowing out the green stuff. i can only say that the mechanic had been too rough on it and fractured the pipe. i bodgied it up at midnight and limped into mt isa for a $100 repair and that got me to bne. plastic crap. poor workmanship. bad combo.
